Complex for laser extraction of cataract "RAKOT" allows removing cataracts of any consistence through very small punctures.

Production of complex started in 2000-2001. For these years were produced more than 30 devices, which successfully function in governmental and private clinics of Russia and abroad.

Modern modification of complex consists of laser unit and irrigation-aspiration unit. Devices are controlled with pedal or remote control panel. Laser emission through flexible and solid fibre and laser head goes to lens. Fragments of lens, destroyed by laser, aspirate through aspiration-irrigation handpiece having transparent operative unit.

Laser unit is fed with electric circuit 220V, 1 phase and realized as mobile case, equipped with remote control panel, optical fiber output and connectors for attachment of pedals and remote control panel, laser head. Laser exposure can be conducted with series of impulses with frequency up to 30Hz and energy up to 500 mJ. Laser unit is equipped with timer, which allows to control duration of laser exposure. Frequency and energy of laser emission can be changed from control panel. Laser unit has automated power of laser emission control system, which allows to control (support) laser energy on output of unit in real-time.

Irrigation-aspiration unit is fed with electric circuit 220V, 1 phase and realized as mobile case, equipped with remote control panel, capacity and connectors for attachment of pedals and remote control panel, aspiration-irrigation head. Level of depression can smoothly change up to 500 mmHg. Irrigation-aspiration unit is equipped with accelerated vacuum fill module, which allows to get depression of 400 mmHg in 2 seconds. Unit has electro-mechanical protection module, which prevents ingress of moisture inside compressor and mechanical protection module, which prevents damage of moving armature. Unit has two-level circuit of regulation of level of depression, that allows to increase level adjustment precision in short time. Unit has a sound indication system. Modern modifications are equipped with level of depression monitoring system indicating value of depression in real-time.
